More Nativity Scene Figurines: 6-28-09 ~ The new Fontanini nativity scene figures were not all shown on display due to conflick in the liturgical year. However, I did manage to catch a quick pic of the last display of Jesus, Mary, & Joseph. This collection will surely get a lot of attention when they are put on display for the first time. I've been on vendor displays before when the salesperson will pick up an item and hand it to potential customers to touch and examine their product. In this particular case, I think I will invoke the phrase, "See With Your Eyes, Not with Your Hands!" (Click here to see why.)

Knights Of Columbus: 4-4-09On Sunday March 29th, we celebrated Founders' Day, an
annual event that recalls the beginnings of the Knights of Columbus. At the 9:15 and 11:00 AM masses, our Knights attended as a body and were available after the liturgy to answer questions and to register any men who wished to consider joining this charitable, fraternal organization. We can be justly proud of the work of our local Knights, as they are deeply involved in nearly every parish organization, committee and activity. Thank you, brothers, for all that you do! More Nativity Scene Figurines: 3-28-09 ~ The new Fontanini nativity scene figures are certainly something to be admired for their size and appearance. I have attempted to give you an up close view of all the figures. I thought the skin tone on the shephard boy was very impressive. So far, I would give them a rating of "W," for "WoW!"
Here's my latest rendering of the 3 wise men: Balthazar, Melchoir, and Gaspar . Click on the picture to see the close-ups.

The Diocese of Manchester issued Parish Pastoral Guidelines in July 2002 which gave a new model that focused the work of the Parish Pastoral Councils on MISSION and VISION.
